To provide residential facilities in the form of hostel accommodation to the maximum number of students is in the priority of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology. University provides hostel accommodation to all girls students who make a request for it. There are nine hostels, four for boys and four for girls in the university, which can house more than 2000 students. In addition to this One hostel (Working Woman Hostel) is exclusively being constructed for Ph.D. Research scholar and Working Woman in the University. Each hostel is provided with indoor and outdoor game facilities by the hostel administration and as well as by the sports department. Medical facilities are provided by the university Health Centre to the entire resident along with 24 hours ambulance facility. All the hostels are provided with 24 hours Internet connectivity through physical and wireless mode.

GH I - GIRLS HOSTEL NO.1

Kasturba Bhawan (GH-1) is an epicentre of the dynamics of campus life. It is not only a residential arrangement but it is also centre for enhancement of academic and social aspects of student life. It has been a launching pad from where the students have embarked upon their successful voyages in the world. BH I- BOY's HOSTEL NO. I

BH-I has 95 rooms, having capacity of 285 residents. After 2003 BH-I progressed towards increase in infrastructure development and up keeping of hygienic and cleanliness in the hostel. BH-I kitchen was completely renovated and all the shelves were replaced by stainless steel furniture.It also added doughkneeder, potato peeler and stainless steel dining table. The hostel also provided thirty-five three-seater chairs and one hundred study chairs to its existing furniture. To make electric energy efficient every room was provided with two CFL singal which was later on replaced by the CFL tubes light. BH-I provides aesthetic surrounding with lush green well maintained as well manicured lawns along with recently added lawn chair facility. Commercial water purifiers have been installed in the BH-I.

BH II- BOY's HOSTEL NO. II

Boys Hostel No. II provides residential accommodation to the Post Graduate students and research scholars. There are 120 rooms in the hostel, having the capacity of 240 students. Among the infrastructural facilities the hostel has well equipped mess kitchen & dining hall, which includes the equipments like doughkneeder, potato peeler, stainless steel dining tables, worktables, and racks for different purposes. Cold storage unit is an important component among the kitchen items. Water purifiers are functional in the mess as well as in different blocks of hostel. To maintain the hygienic conditions in mess kitchen & hall, there is proper provision of cleanliness and ventilation. In the facilities hostel provides study chairs and tables to all students. The hostel also provides three-seater and two-seater iron chairs for making a seating arrangement in the dinning hall, common room as well as in the lawns of hostel.
As mentioned earlier the hostel is provided 24 hours Internet connectivity through physical and wire less mode. Reading material in the form of NEWS papers and magazines are available in the hostel.
There is Contractual system of mess in the hostel. Students manage the affairs of mess in consultancy with the warden. There is a hostel managing committee of students representing the students of all departments, which looks after the mess activities including the kitchen materials. The committee on rotation basis also facilitates the activities related to cleanliness, discipline, water saving, gardening, and controlling of food wastage etc.
The hostel has organized no. of activities like chess tournament, cultural function VIBHOR : INSPIRING Youth, Seminar etc . In the programme various experts of the field covered the activities related to work shops and lecturers on Yoga and Health, Life Skills, Stress Management, Alcohol and Drug-De-addiction and Nutrition and Health. The basic objectives of the programme were to develop the life skills among students, to sensitize them towards their health and health behaviour, to cultivate the attitude of optimism and positivity and to inculcate the value of self-extension.

BH III- BOY's HOSTEL NO. III

Boys hostel no. III came in existence in year 2006 with a set of 96 rooms. It is a three story building. Each floor have 32 (Thirty Two) rooms with 36 toilets and 27 bathrooms. Currently, the students residing in the hostel are doing various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate courses. In the hostel, there is one Common Room, and one recreation hall. In the common room a colour LCD is installed, and in recreation room Carom Board, Table-Tennis, Chess is placed for the recreation of the residents of the hostel. Five national level newspapers are available in the hostel for reading. In Recreation room many internet connecting/ accessing plugs are installed to enable students to get in touch with Internet. Keeping in view the comfortness of the student's decent sitting arrangement have been made by placing three seater benches in both the Common Room and recreation room. Wi-Fi system has also been installed in the hostel premises. To make the energy efficient, CFL tube lights have been installed in the entire hostel premises. Solar Water Heater are also installed to provide hot water to the residents. Each floor is having one water-cooler with water-purifier to provide cold water to the residents in the summer season.
In the year 2010 a same wing having 48 rooms will got completed, having the same facilities.

Vivekananda Bhawan

BH IV- BOY's HOSTEL NO. IV

Vivekanand Hostel (Boys Hostel No. IV) is the new addition to the hostel facility of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar which is going to start from this academic session i.e. 2016-17. Boys Hostel-IV is four storey having 120 rooms with total seating capacity of 360 with toilet and bathrooms fitted with western seats and all other modern fittings. The dining hall of the hostel can accommodate about 150 residents in single sitting. The Hostel has two big common rooms and a study hall to facilitate the residents. The hostel has been provided with a guest room for the parents /guardian who visit to meet their wards. Each hostel resident will be provided with individual study table and chair in their room.
